The Colts have definitely been the surprise of the season so far at 8-4 and looking every bit like a playoff worthy team. It's not come easy for the guys though. After a serious roster purge the team had no choice but to essentially rebuild and redefine it self. Drafting Stanford quarterback with the first pick of the draft was a step in that direction.
However, the whole journey nearly became derailed early in the season when the team learned that its first year head coach, Chuck Pagano, had leukemia. He immediately began treatment leaving the team's first-year offensive coordinator Bruce Arians in charge.
