I have a new found appreciation for hockey after watching these video.
Apparently it isn't uncommon for teams to hold a charity event called the Teddy Bear Toss. In it, fans bring teddy bears to the game, and when the first goal is scored everyone tosses their teddy bears onto the ice. In this particular video the Calgary Hitmen collected over 21,000 teddy bears for charity. Since they started doing it back in 1999 they have collected over 200,000.
That's a lot of happy kids.
