Brian Billick Needs to Read his Script a Little Closer

Go Seattle! I mean Atlanta? (Who's playing?)

Over the last week there has been a lot said about the on-air gaffe by Brent Musburger in the BCS title game  last Monday.

You know--it is kinda hard to call it a gaffe. The man was right. Katherine Webb, A.J. McCarron's girlfriend is hot; his Mom ain't bad looking either. Was it inappropriate for him and Kirk Herbstreit to give them so much attention at that point in the game? Yes. But he was right...

Come to think of it--how come Herbstreit hasn't had to apologize for going right along with the whole thing?

Anyway...I digress...

One thing that you have to give Brent credit for is that he at least got the important stuff right. The man called the game without a hitch. Can you imagine the crap he would have had to take had he commented on how Notre Dame was the clear cut No. 1 team in the nation or something? Especially if he said it with all the confidence in the world as if he was announcing the return of Hostess Cupcakes (I can hold out hope...)?
