No one likes to experience a rebuilding year. It typically comes with poor play, a lousy record, and some incredible blowouts (that your team is on the wrong end of all the time). The games are not fun to watch, and it seems like a travesty to buy tickets to go see them in person (at the prices these days...).
This year was/is a rebuilding year for the Indianapolis Colts. The roster was purged of a lot of talent and money, a new coaching was brought in, a new leader was drafted, and a new era was set to begin.
After winning so much over the last decade or so Jim Irsay decided to go ahead and spend a little money on free agents. He didn't go out and steal any superstars, but all of a sudden, between the returning players, draft picks, and new free agent acquisitions these Colts had hopes of not being too bad after all.
So far that phrase sums up the team's season--not too bad....
