I am so looking forward to the Heisman announcement tonight. I love the fact that the award is likely to go to a person that has never gotten the award before--either a true defensive player or a freshman.
I can see where it is hard for defensive players to stand out as the best player in the nation, but since the award is supposed to go to the best player of that season whether he is a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior should not matter (but it always does).
So today I will be posting a some videos on the finalists starting with these two that will give you a bit of background on one of the guys--Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o:
