Of course the one thing I can't bring you is the one thing I know everyone in the sports world wants--something, anything from the man himself. Manti Te'o has yet to speak out on this whole mess other than the statement that he released earlier this week.
There is now reason to believe that he is not the only person to be duped by "Lennay:"
I believe the guy, but what the heck is he thinking? Is he banking on the short attention span of the viewing public? Or maybe that the Lance Armstrong story will eclipse his and make people forget? Come on man! to make it through Notre Dame you have to have a brain in your head. That is not going to work!
While the world will eventually move on to the next and more current scandal thanks to this nifty little tool called a search engine folks will always be able to bring this up.
It will always be on the minds of reporters whether it is from asking how he feels about going in the 6th round of the draft (and how it compares to being duped into dating a fake girl) to winning the Super Bowl (and how it compares to the low of being duped into dating a fake girl).
Come on Manti. Time to man up and get it over with. It will not be easy, but this is the only way to get people to truly move on and let it go.
