Ronaiah Tuiasosopo to Talk to Dr. Phil; Upstages Manti Te'o

Call me paranoid or some kind of crazy conspiracy theorists (or maybe someone that needs to just go to bed), but it looks to me like Ronaiah Tuiasosopo--the alleged mastermind behind the whole Manti Te'o Fake Girlfriend scandal--is trying his best to upstage Manti.

Let's look at a few things.

First, Ron (I'm tired of typing that fool's name) did not release anything until the morning Manti's interview with Katie Couric was supposed to air. If there was anything or anyone that the public wanted to hear from more than Manti it is him.


Just releasing any old statement would not mean much nor take any attention away from Manti, but when his lawyer Milton Grimes (who happens to have been Rodney King's lawyer; kids, if you don't know who that is go ask Mom and Dad) stated that there was only one person involved in the whole scam people took notice. That meant that Manti was talking for hours on end saying all sorts of sweet nothings to a dude.

While Manti's very safe interview caught the headlines it was expected to, the fervor was dampened quite a bit from the bombshell that Ron broke. Then of course to make sure we are talking about him even more on Friday one of his cousins outs another cousin for being the voice on the tape--not Ron.

Manti's interview did drum up some questions, but with the revelations and intrigue that is now surrounding Ron's side his story has become the hot ticket. Who does he give it to (finally)? Dr. Phil.

The date the interview is going to air remains to be seen. One article I read made it seem as if Ron and Dr. Phil had a chat after watching Manti's interview with Katie. So is it already done? I don't know.

And that keeps me wondering about Lennay/Ronaiah--not Manti. Darn near sounds as if Ron is a little jealous of Manti. Dare I say--because he has a crush?
