Tim Tebow "Forced" on Jets Owner?

With the season done for the New York Jets and the end of season press conference finally over I honestly thought that I would be done writing anything on the most dysfunctional team in the NFL.

Oh, how I was wrong!

The easy target would be to say something about Rex Ryan getting into a car accident, but there was nothing sordid in the matter. I have yet to read anything that says he was drunk, with a transvestite stripper/prostitute, playing with his wife's feet, or trying to "Tebow" while driving.

It was just a routine accident and no one was hurt (good). Heck, Rex only got a warning for running the red light that caused it all.

Boring!

However, the Jets owner has been kind enough to provide us with a nice little nugget. According to former Denver Broncos executive Ted Sundquist, Woody Johnson tried to say that he had Tim Tebow "forced" on him, but then later said he just let the player personnel department do what they thought was best for the team.

Any of this sound just a little funny to you? Wasn't this the guy who stated that you can never have too much Tebow? Since he covers everyone's paychecks how in the world does anyone get forced on him? As the owner can't he just say no?

Talk about pathetic. Just admit it Woody--you like the idea, your head coach did not, and he (Rex) has some dirt on you so when he didn't play Tim and the team stunk you couldn't fire him. Let me guess--are you the one holding the camera when Rex is playing with his wife's feet. Am I right?

Johnson has previously stated that he was planning on holding on to Tebow through the end of his contract (next season), but with comments like that it is hard to imagine him doing that now.
