Washington's Trent Williams Has Best Excuse to Skip Pro Bowl Yet

Like season's past there have been a  number of changes to the roster although I don't think there have been nearly as many as the last few seasons (no, I did not count so don't count that as fact).

With the game on Sunday and whatever constitutes for practice for the game already underway you would think whoever was going to drop out would have already done so.

That is not the case.

Washington Redskins offensive lineman Trent Williams has had to drop out of the game at the last minute after getting injured in a scuffle at a night club in Honolulu Friday morning.

According to a story that PFT printed, Williams as not involved in the fight, but was just an unlucky victim. During the whole mess he was hit with a champagne bottle as well as hit with a taser--not by the police or security but by one of the assailants involved in the fight.

Since offensive linemen don't get any love until they retire or do something incredibly stupid (and its sarcastic) most folks will know Williams best for shoving Richard Sherman in the face after Sherman talked more trash after the game (H/T to Big Lead Sports).

So with the fate of the Pro Bowl on the line (Roger Goodell has said the decision on whether to keep it will come by April-ish) Trent Williams can say he tried to do his part. It isn't his fault he got nailed with a champagne bottle and tasered. Yeah, you could say that he shouldn't have been out, but then again--why shouldn't he?

If only the game wasn't held in a city with so many beaches and hence beach ready bodies; then again, if it wasn't who would want to go?

[UPDATE] I just saw that there were about 20 or so other football players at the party, but nothing that states any were involved in the fight. Poor Williams was hit over the head with a champagne bottle and needed stitches. Surprisingly, NFL security has advised the players to stay clear of 'M Nightclub.'

If anyone actually needed to be told to stay away from that place they deserve whatever happens to them.
