This story is a little old by now, but when I typed in Anna Burns
Welker into a search engine and saw who she was I knew I had to write something
on it anyway. Why? Because it is the perfect excuse to post a bunch of pictures
of a really hot babe.
In case you haven't heard, the wife of Wes Welker--the lovely Anna--
went to the defense of her husband and her husband's team by going on the
offensive herself on Facebook with the following post (USA Today):
"Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored,
please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder.
Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"
Here facts were not entirely right. Lewis does have six children from
four women, but he is not and has never been married. Facts aside, the post can
easily be construed as coming from a sore loser and poor sport--something her
husband has never been.
It has since been deleted. She has now issued an apology (USA Today):
"I'm deeply sorry for my recent post on Facebook. I let the
competitiveness of the game and the comments people were making about a team I
dearly love get the best of me..."
Okay, now that the information is out of the way on to the good stuff.
