LeBron James is easily the biggest star in the NBA right now. Kobe is still Kobe, but he is on the way out. Kevin Durant is the future, but he is still pretty young. The man, the myth, the legend for right here and now is LeBron.
He's had millions of eyes watching him since he was in high school when he was a 3X Mr. Basketball of Ohio. He's a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, nine time All-Star (soon to be ten), three time NBA MVP, NBA Champion, NBA Finals MVP--the accolades could go on and on.
And yet when he was standing in front of the White House Press Corp and the President of the United States he was as flustered as an 8-year old meeting Santa Claus for the first time.
As the Church Lady would say--now isn't that special?
Oh--and if you think that was funny check out the clip of Obama's comments when the Heat visited the White House Monday. LeBron looks like the camera shy kid that was forced to be in the front row of the class picture.
