Last season the halftime show had more viewers than the game itself--and it was a heck of a game! In my honest opinion--it sucked. Madonna is not the performer she was in her 20s or 30s or even her 40s; love the Material Girl but she didn't bring it.
The two reality show judges--there's a reason why they have already started branching out from music and into TV. It's not because of their fame and people want to see them; its because their 15 minutes were almost up and they got lucky.
Anyway...
I've never been a big Beyonce fan so I wasn't impressed with her alone (as a performer; yes, the woman is smoking). The best part of the program was when they brought out the rest of Destiny's Child. Then we actually heard some music and not just some killer beats with a catchy hook.
I can recall looking on Facebook after last year's show and the reception to Madonna was about 50/50. I wouldn't be shocked if this one was the same.
