There is one thing that you can count on after a big win like Sunday night's Super Bowl victory for the Baltimore Ravens. For some odd reason things like that tend to get folks to do things that they never would normally do; not in a million years.
Like climb up a sign post and start doing pull ups till you fall down.
I can remember being in NYC when the Yankees won one of their World Series rings back in the 90's. It was a pretty surreal event. We got to the bar in Manhattan (had our own game earlier that afternoon) at the start of the 9th inning. When we walked in the bar was silent and every head was staring at the televisions on one wall.
One out. Two outs. Three outs. Insanity.
The place went nuts! It was the only time I had ever seen New Yorkers willingly hugging each other and high-fiving each other as if everyone knew everyone. Throw in some running n the streets, car hopping, making out with random babes until the cops came to arrest anyone that was in the streets--yeah, a good time was had by all.
Now from what I've been able to see from the videos online the revelers in Baltimore were pretty tame. You did have the pull up guy. The tree jumper was pretty great too. Otherwise it was mostly people having fun, but nothing too crazy.
