Sports fans love it when their team goes streaking. There is just something about the constant euphoria from a never ending thrill of victory. Plus we just love it when “our” team kicks butt and takes names!
The Miami Heat are in the midst of the best winning streak the NBA has seen in years, but they are still a long way away from breaking the record of 33 consecutive wins (almost half of the season!). In honor of their streak here are the top 10 streaks in sports history!
In the interest of not trying to compare Joe DiMaggio’s hitting streak with UCLA’s 88 game winning streak this will just be team oriented streaks.
10. 1970-71 Los Angeles Lakers 33-game streak
When the season is 82 games long you expect to lose a few games here and there. Instead the Lakers won for nearly half the season. No team has come close to breaking this record.
