Texas Rangers Still the Team to Beat in the AL West

Texas Rangers Still the Team to Beat in the AL West:

If you were to compare the expectations for the Texas Rangers prior to the start of the season to weather you would have called it cloudy with a chance of rain. That of course means there is a chance of sunshine as well.

Lucky for fans of the Texas Rangers the sun has been doing a lot more shining and it looks like it is going to do a lot more.

Twenty-six games into the season and the Rangers are sitting in what has become a familiar place, on top of the AL West. Barring any serious injuries or a dramatic reversal in fortune there is every reason to believe that they will be there at the end of the season.

Even though Josh Hamilton floundered for much of the second half of the season there was concern that the line-up would suffer without him in it. While it has not performed like one of the best offenses in the league like it was last season (3rd in batting average and fifth or better in most major categories) it is still one of the better ones in the league (10th in batting average; sixth in slugging).
