Cincinnati Bengals to be Featured on HBO Series Hard Knocks (Maybe)

If you can believe what you read on the internet the next victim/team to be featured on the HBO series Hard Knocks has been chosen--the Cincinnati Bengals.

There has yet to be an official word from HBO, NFL Films, or the Bengals about the news as of late Friday night; just word from a person at the Philadelphia Daily Enquirer making this nothing more than a rmor at this time.

So technically the word is not official; just possible. With the trouble that the series has had in recent years finding willing participants I doubt they would let word leak unless they felt pretty confident they had their team.

Should the rumor be true it will be the second time for the Bengals on the popular documentary series. They were on the show back in 2009 when Chad Johnson was still around to provide some drama, and there were a number of position battles to make things interesting.

This time around there is not a ton of position battles up for grabs and no Chad Johnson to keep it interesting. The closest thing the team has to drama is Adam 'don't call me Pacman' Jones and his recent drama involving him being accused of assaulting a woman at a bar.

He's claiming self defense, but you can judge for yourself from the video.

Otherwise the team really doesn't have anything other than football to be featured on the show making them an interesting pick. Than again, the tweet claiming the Bengals may be the one has been deleted already so maybe the reporter was getting a little ahead of himself.
