Crazy Colts Fan - What Ever Happened to the Icelander and a Busy Off-Season for the Indianapolis Colts

Remember this guy? Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay referred to him as 'The Icelander.'

Not too long ago Irsay teased fans by hinting that the Colts were looking into signing the 6'9" tall 419 pound man mountain from Iceland, Hafthor Bjornsson.

Sounded pretty cool, right? How bad*ss would that be to have someone that kicks butt in the World Strongman competitions either blocking for Andrew Luck or destroying offensive linemen and eating quarterbacks and running backs for a snack?

Shoot--the guy moves VW bugs and works out with boulders for a living! I think an NFL linemen or two would not be too hard for him to move around!

Of course just because he is huge does not mean he would have the necessary mobility to play in the NFL, but if there ever was a reason for having a developmental league...

Alas, it appears that the talk was just that--talk. It was just Jim Irsay having a little fun at our expense (it's okay; it was good natured) and making opposing coaches wonder and worry (just a little). But that doesn't mean the team has been quiet. No, in fact the Colts appear to have completely turned the corner away from the past where they sought to build solely through the draft...
