Dodgers Get Huge Defensive Play Out of Newcomer Yasiel Puig in First MLB Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers were hoping top light a fire under the offense by calling up Cuban defector Yusiel Puig from Double A. To say they are in desperate need of it would be an understatement to say the least.

In his first game Monday night he did provide some offense with a pair of hits, it was his defense that really made the difference. With one on and the Dodgers holding on to a 2-1 lead Puig made the catch on a fly ball then launched a rocket to first to make the double play.
