Dodgers/D-Backs Game Gets Ugly After Yasiel Puig Hit in Face With a Fastball

The kid has barely been in the majors a week and already teams are not sure what to do about him. Yasiel Puig has been on a tear ever since he made his first start last Monday. In an effort to not let him win the game for the Dodgers--or perhaps it was an accident--the Diamondbacks took a rather unique approach to dealing with the hard-hitting outfielder.

They hit him. In the face. With a fastball. Ouch.

Being the bad*ss that he is, Puig got back up and stayed in the game. He ended up going 0-2 with one run scored and a strikeout; his batting average is .471.

Of course his teammates are not going to stand idly by while their new young superstar in the making gets drilled--so Zack Greinke returns the favor--and chaos ensued:

It would have been nice if it could have ended here, but no--that would have been too easy. For some stupid reason, even though he caused the whole mess the first time around, D-Backs pitcher Ian Kennedy plunks Greinke!

And chaos ensued:

You know this scuffle was a good one because even the coaches got in on the action!

Yeah, there will be a fine or two and likely some suspensions handed out after this one.
