When the Los Angeles Angels signed hard-hitting outfielder Josh Hamilton to the roster last off-season the fan base had to be eager to say the least. With two of the leagues best sluggers in the line-up in Hamilton and Albert Pujols, opposing pitchers were going to be shaking in their cleats every time they walked to the mound.
It hasn't quite ended up that way of course. Neither player is lighting up pitchers this season, and the Texas Rangers are looking like geniuses for letting Hamilton go.

However, while he may be hitting a pedestrian .221 and have only 10 home runs to his name this season the Angels are getting some value out of their $125 million man. Against the Houston Astros Saturday he caught two balls that would have made it over the short fence in right field for home runs had he not been there.
It may not be what the team paid so much money for, but its better than nothing right?
