Penn State and Notre Dame Rugby Players Show Why Rugby is Awesome

The college rugby 7s championship is being played in the City of Brotherly Love this weekend giving sports fans in the United States another chance to see the fast paced, hard-hitting action that is one of the most popular games in the world.

With the games being broadcast on NBC folks across the nation got the chance to see the action. What may surprise some is that scenes like this one between a Penn State and Notre Dame rugby player did not even warrant a second look by the ref let alone bug the players.

If that were to happen in a football game it would call for a major inquisition, be talked about at length on every talk show, replayed constantly on ESPN, and result in a fine or suspension.

In rugby--nothing.

If anything the Notre Dame guys might have hit the Penn State dude a little harder next time he carried the ball, but otherwise nothing.
