Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson Throws Some Serious Heat

When it comes to celebrities and athletes from other sports throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for a game there is usually just one hope--that they get it over the plate. Speed doesn't matter. Key thing is typically not letting the ball bounce before it gets to the plate.

Russell Wilson no trouble getting it over the plate. In fact, if you believe what the stadium jumbo-tron says he might have the kind of stuff that scouts would be interested in.

According to the number the stadium people threw up Wilson has the kind of stuff that could make it on a MLB roster--a 98 mile per hour fastball!

There is some doubt on the validity of that number though. It has been said that it was more like 75. Oh, well--pfft. Stick to football, right?

Shoot--for someone that walked out for a ceremonial pitch 75 is still pretty darn fast for someone not in baseball.  You go on with your bad self Russell!
