Tony Parker Will Play in Game Four

Fans of the San Antonio Spurs have been a little bit on edge since Tuesday night wondering if Tony Parker was going to play in Game Four. The star point guard had injured his hamstring in Game Three. Yes, they did just fine without him in that game, but he's not the kind of player that can be easily replaced on a game to game basis.

As luck would have it, they are not going to have to try.

The Spurs tweeted out the following message Thursday morning:

It would have been a surprise if the team had opted to sit him. With the chance to close out the NBA Finals in San Antonio there is no way that the team is not going to want its superstars on the court if they can walk. According to the MRI there were no tears or defects found, and the injury was deemed a minor strain.

What they will probably do is make sure that he gets to the court early--not just on time and unlike Game Three when he was late--for as much treatment as possible. There is only so much that they will be able to do that can actually help, but if it can you better believe the Spurs are going to do it.
