Jacksonville Jaguars Want to Make Sure Fans Have Something Good to Watch At Games

Every team in the NFL has been trying to figure out how to get fans to give up watching the game at home or  at a bar. They need fans to pack the stands at home games--gotta feed the cash cow to make some money, right?

For the most part teams try to improve the product on the field in order to get fans to come to games. However, for those that are not so good--like the Jacksonville Jaguars--they have to resort to other methods.

And Jacksonville may have come up with the best idea yet.

They are thinking about broadcasting the NFL Redzone Channel on the stadium's video screens during there game. For those that don't know what that is the Redzone Channel broadcasts scoring drives once they get within the red zone, or twenty yard-line.

Last season the Jaguars ranked No. 27 in scoring once they got within the red zone. So since the home team doesn't score that how much, how better to entertain fans than by letting them watch all the best scoring plays from around the league?

“We know this would be welcomed by the large portion of our fans who are transplants to Jacksonville, as well as all fantasy football enthusiasts,” Jaguars president Mark Lamping.

This would be a first of its kind if the Jaguars decide to go ahead and do this. While I can see the logic behind it (enhance the fan experience) do they really want to give fans another reason not to watch the team on the field?
