It was thought that Young was a shoe-in for the No. 2 job after the Packers released Graham Harrell, but it appears that the Packers are going to go with 2012 seventh round pick B.J. Coleman from Tennessee-Chattanooga instead.
Young appeared to be out of football for good after not making a roster last season., but got the call tp head to Green Bay after training camp had already begun. Overall he did play well, but either it was not good enough for the Packers or they say something in Coleman that was impressive enough to warrant letting Young go.
At the age of 30 Young is getting dangerously close to the point where no team will be interested in bringing him simply due to his age. After a decent showing in the preseason it would not be surprising if he was on the short list for teams in need of help at QB.
