Adrian Peterson said he was going to break the single season rushing record this year; 2500 yards right? Well, it appears that he is pretty serious about it. On his first carry for the season he took off on a 78-yard touchdown run.
Not a bad start, right?

After giving up this big play the Lions defense put the clamp down on AP. After one half of play Peterson did have two touchdowns on nine carries, but was down to 72 yards total (after notching 78 on his first carry).
