Oregon Ducks Fans Want Alabama and the SEC

Once again the Oregon Ducks sprinted right past an opponent to a huge early lead and another easy win, 59-14, over Tennessee. Marcus Mariota accounted for 481 total yards of offense (456 in the air and 25 on the ground) and five touchdowns (4 passing and 1 rushing).

So needless to say the fans think they have a pretty good team here; so good in fact that they want the champions, Alabama--and are not afraid to say it.

During the game the fans could be heard chanting "S-E-C" as well as "We Want Bama."

Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban has made it no secret that he is not a fan of the fast-paced style of play that the Ducks run, and against Texas A&M Saturday it was pretty clear that he didn't really have an answer for stopping one.

Could the Ducks speedy offense roll over the Tide? Could they take down the champs? Would Oregon's defense be able to stop A.J. McCarron and company (unlike Texas A&M)?

As much fun as it would be to see the game there is no way we will be able to see this one happen unless it is in the BCS Championship game--and there is a lot of football left to be played before that can happen.

  1. I am a little miffed, Is bama really that good, A&M made it look easy to score on them. With a half decent D, I think bama is in trouble. Although I am not a bama fan, it is nice to see a program that is clean, win again!

    1. What sucks is we will not really find out. Alabama has a soft schedule; LSU is the only really tough team they have left. I think you are right about their defense; shaky at best against a good offense.

If you are saying Bama is clean, have you not heard about one of their former players--D.J. Fluker I think--took money from an agent? Yeah, they aren't that clean.
