Pink Oregon Helmet Signed by Phil Knight Going For Over $10K
The Oregon Ducks are known for two things--crazy, fast paced offenses and the most fashion-forward uniforms in organized sports. They proved that once again last Saturday when they sported the pink gear in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Part of the plan was to auction off 25 of the pink helmets--some of them autographed-- to raise funds for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Helmets started out at $14, but they didn't stay that low for long. So far the big earner is the Phil Knight autographed helmet with a big of $10,014--and it still has another day for people to bid on it. The Joey Harrington helmet comes in next at $9014 and the Dan Fouts one at $5532.
