After waiting what had to seem like an eternity to see their superstar--Derrick Rose--back on the court in a meaningful game Chicago Bulls fans got their wish on opening night when their team took on the defending champions, the Miami Heat.
The fans in Chicago were not the only ones that were glad to see Rose back on the court. There was a certain fan in Washington D.C. that was glad to see him too.

President Obama, whose love for all sports teams from Chicago is pretty well known, was glad his team was back to full strength:
Welcome back, @DRose. #BullsNation

It probably wasn't actually the Commander-in-Chief, but whatever person on his personal staff is in charge of his social media accounts. That's totally fine (if that is indeed the case). We didn't really get to see the real Derrick Rose either.
When all was said and done he had just 12 points (4-15 from the floor; 1-7 from behind the arc), 4 assists, and a single board in just over 34 minutes.
That's okay. It's been awhile--he'll get better and get back to his dazzling ways soon enough.
