When Texas Tech decided to hire former quarterback and than-offensive coordinator for Texas A&M Klif Kingsbury they were making a bold choice. Even though he was unproven as a head coach and just a little young (now 34) they went with him anyway.
Yes, he was a great quarterback for the school and had done a phenomenal job in College Station, but was that enough to make him the head coach of a major Division I program?

Sometimes you have to take a chance; sometimes you have to be bold and take a gamble. With seven games under his belt as a head coach, an undefeated record, and a top ten ranking he has proven that fortune does indeed favor the bold.
No wonder that's his motto.
