Rob Gronkoski Hits a Career Mark With First Touchdown of the Season

It has been an interesting season for the New England Patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski. There was a ton of speculation in the media as to why he wasn't playing and what the problem was (if there was one). Of course the speculation was all pretty inflammatory but hey--if you are making crap up there is no sense in making it dull crap.

But now the man is back and in Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Steelers fans saw a lot of the Gronk that they love (and have missed) and got to see him hit a pretty big milestone.

From Bleacher Report
The Gronk had nine receptions for 143 yards and a touchdown, but that touchdown was not just any old touchdown. Besides it being his first of the season and first since the Miami game towards the end of last season (12/30) it was career No. 39 from Tom Brady.

From Bleacher Report
Why is that a big deal? It ties him with Randy Moss for the most on the Tom Brady Touchdown List.

Yes, I know; it sounds like a pretty small number especially when you consider that Brady has just under 350 career touchdown passes. However, with the way the Patriots have moved offensive weapons in and out of Foxboro and the way Brady spreads the love around it makes sense.

If you are wondering about Wes Welker--he only had 38 touchdowns during his time with the Patriots and at least three came from some one other than Brady.
