Denver Broncos Kicker Matt Prater Sets New NFL Record With 64-Yard Field Goal!

The Denver Broncos are down 21-20 at the half, but no one is really talking about that. Not only because they know Peyton Manning can do anything when he has a whole half to play, but it is because of Broncos kicker Matt Prater.

No, he didn't whiff on a tackle or anything embarrassing like that. He just set a new NFL record for the longest field goal ever made with a 64-yard boot as time expired!

His kick breaks the mark previously held by another Denver alum, Jason Elam and a couple other guys (Elam had it first).

Some will probably try to discredit it by claiming it is so much easier to kick in the thin Denver air. To them I say this--when you can do it yourself (or at least kick an extra point) than you can talk trash!

Nice job Matt Prater! Congratulations!
