Family Names Their Daughter After the Alabama Football Team

There is being a fan, and than there is being that fan. You know the one I'm talking about; the one that wears nothing but the team's colors; has a dog names after the coach; can recite the birthdays of the entire starting team; never misses a game; knows what the pregame meal is--before the team has it.

I'm talking about the kind of fan that will do anything--and I mean anything--to show their love and support of their team. Folks like the Steele family in Alabama who named their daughter after the Alabama Crimson Tide.

I wish I was lying, but that is not the case:

Why? Why would you do this to your child? I would totally understand if they named their daughter Nikki after Saban or even Katherine after the lovely Ms. Webb? I can only imagine the number of boys in Indianapolis named Peyton over the last decade or the number of Jordans, Michaels or MJs in Chicago. Those make sense.

But Krimson Tyde? That's just not nice.
