Indianapolis Colts LB Robert Mathis Destroys Case Keenum and a Pair of Colts Records in the Process

I can recall writing something a few years ago about how I thought that Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis were joined at the hip. Together they were a fierce tandem; separate they were good but nothing special. As it turns out I was half-right. Dwight Freeney has faded into obscurity while Robert Mathis is making a push for Defensive Player of the Year.

Oh--and he's breaking a couple of Colts records in the process.

From Bleacher Report
Against the lame duck Texans Sunday Mathis recorded another strip sack (sacked QB and caused the fumble) that was recovered by Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown giving the Colts a safety. For Mathis it was sack No. 16.5 of the season--a new Colts record--and No. 108 for his career--also a new Colts record.

The previous holder of those records--none other than his old running buddy Dwight Freeney.
