The game itself was an okay one to watch. Neither team was able to get much of an advantage over the other in the first half, but the second half was pretty much all Notre Dame. Tommy Rees led the offense on scoring drives of 15, 15, and 10 plays taking around 19 minutes off the game clock in the process. The defense held Rutgers to 81 total yards, forced two three and outs, and a pair of interceptions.
With the win the Fighting Irish finish the season with nine wins. It's not a national championship game kind of season, but its nothing to shake a stick at.
Oh--and if you go to about the 4:20 mark of the clip below you will see some of the guys doing a little dance on the field after the win.
I will not lie to you guys. I had to look it up to see what the heck it was. Next time I beat my wife in Scrabble I think I'll have to bust it out.
