ESPN sometimes seems like it is going the way of MTV. Kids, back in the day MTV used to be all about music and showed nothing but music videos all day and every day. They did have the occasional game show, but for the most part the network was all about music.
ESPN is still primarily about sports, but that is thanks to broadcasting games and SportsCenter. It's when they interview people that things turn away from sports.
Take former linebacker Shawne Merriman's interview with Dan Le Batard and Bomani Jones. He hasn't played in awhile so he's kind of an interesting choice to even have on the show, but maybe that explains why they were more interested in asking him about his explosive relationship with Tila Tequila and his rocky childhood.
No wonder he walked out.
