There is an Opening for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao to Happen After All

The picture here featuring Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is obviously a fake, but it is the kind of thing that boxing fans would love to see someday. While Pacquiao's name has lost some luster thanks to his two losses, he and Mayweather are the two guys that fight fans want to see.

Yes, they will keep paying to see other fights, but they will pale in comparison to just the idea of this fight actually happening. We now know what the first step is to making it a reality.

Mayweather will never work with promoter Bob Arum again. He has made that position painfully clear, and has said that as long as Pacquiao is working with him the fight the whole world wants to see is never going to happen.

"We all know the Pacquiao fight, at this particular time, will never happen, and the reason why the fight won't happen is because I will never do business with Bob Arum again in my life, and Pacquiao is Bob Arum's fighter," Mayweather told Fight Hype.

Okay, so if Manny ditches Arum than it could happen? Sure sounds like it.

Thanks to his two defeats Pacquiao needs the  fight to happen if he is ever going to regain the respect that was lost after he was knocked out. Mayweather has all the power here and can dictate whatever terms he wants. For a fight that will undoubtedly be the largest pay-per-view draw in recent history if not ever that could be a pretty substantial windfall.

So what are we waiting for? Come on Manny! Dump Arum and let's make it happen!
