Dolphins Offensive Lineman Jonathan Martin Quit Because of Vulgar Language?

One of the early stories of the 2013 season was the case of alleged bullying in Miami. One of the teams offensive tackles, Jonathan Martin, claimed to have been bullied during his time on the team and eventually led to him walking out on the team. Eventually fellow offensive lineman Richie Incognito was named as an aggressor in the case resulting in him being suspended.

Martin has kept quiet, but Tuesday night he gave his first interview on NBC Nightly News. There was one part that was interesting to say the least.

During the interview he said that the amount of vulgar language in the team's locker room was a factor that led to him walking out (from Yahoo):

''I'm a grown man,'' said Martin, 24. ''I've been in locker rooms. There's vulgar language used in locker rooms. One instance doesn't bother me. It's the persistence of it. I wish I would have had more tools to solve my situation. I felt trapped, like I didn't have a way to make it right. It came down to a point where I thought it was best to remove myself from the situation.''

Vulgar language? You walked out of an NFL locker room because there was too much vulgar language? That's it?

There are so many responses that come to mind upon hearing that, but the best is something short and sweet that a former wide receiver is famous for using:



It sure is a shame that a promising professional career is likely going to end now because he couldn't handle an excessive amount of vulgar language in the locker room. Didn't have the tools to handle it? How about just doing your job and going home?

It sure works for everyone else.
