Kansas Center Joel Embiid Goes Beast Mode on Oklahoma State; Future No. 1 Pick?

Kansas was expected to be pretty good when future NBA lottery pick Andrew Wiggins committed to the school, but as it turns out Wiggins has nearly become the 'other guy' on the team. No, instead it looks like 'the man' for the Jayhawks is the 7' freshman from Cameroon, Joel Embiid.

The latest display of the Embiid's excellence came Saturday when Kansas took on another top 15 team, the Oklahoma State Cowboys. It was a game full of highlights, but in the end it was the Jayhawks that came out on top 80-78.

As for Embiid, well--he nearly had a triple double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 blocks.

Yeah, normally when you talk about triple doubles assists are included, but not in this case. However, Embiid did have one assist in the contest. Just like many of the other plays he made in the game this one was pretty sweet too!

With quality big men so hard to come by in the NBA these days unless someone else explodes over the remainder of the season whoever has the No. 1 pick in the next draft will have a hard time not taking him.
