Pot Grower in Seattle Creates Special 'Beast Mode' Bud Named After Marshawn Lynch

It is not unheard of to have sandwiches named after football players. Several have had drinks named after them. Sometimes food will even be inspired and created because of one--no matter how disgusting the idea sounds (Skittles sausage--bad idea).

But how many can say they have inspired a strain of marijuana?

A local pot grower in Seattle has created a strain of marijuana inspired and named after the Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch called Beast Mode. The architect of this special bud, Nate “Diggity” Johnson describes it as 'extremely strong' and a lot like its namesake:
“Marshawn has gears when he’s running and it’s kind of like that. It has a little bit of a slow start and then kicks in.”
This isn't a strain you'll find on the street, but in Johnson's medicinal marijuana dispensary, the Queen Anne Cannabis Club. It goes for $13/gram or $150 for half an ounce (donation rate since dispensaries are not allowed to sell their product).

Johnson is not too worried about Lynch getting upset over them using the name 'Beast Mode' since he does have a patent on it.
“Since it’s for donation-based medical cannabis, we feel his compassion towards it will make it acceptable,” Johnson said of the Beast Mode marijuana.
If his interview with Deion Sanders at the Super Bowl Media Day is any indication it appears like he might have already tried it.
