Jerry Jones Responds to Mark Cuban: I Know More About Pigs Than Mark Does

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban caused a stir recently with his doom and gloom prediction for the NFL in about a decade. It was one of those things that you know people in the NFL would have to respond, and of course the first would have to be fellow Dallas sports team owner Jerry Jones.

In typical Jerry fashion he tried to make light of Cuban's comments at first:
“I respect Mark,’’ Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. “But with all due respect, I know more about pigs than Mark does.
“I was taught as a Razorback to be lean and mean, not a little fat pig.’’
Umm...okay. I'm not too sure what that is supposed to mean, but okay I guess.

Jones and Cuban are friends and to his credit Jones did not just brush Cuban off. As brash and outspoken as he may be Cuban is still a brilliant businessman, and Jones did recognize that Cuban has a point.
“Any time you’re having success, then it’s a fool who’s not aware that that could change.
He went on to talk about how everything the NFL does is to enhance the experience for fans and make the game better. As for Cuban's concerns about saturating the market should the NFL continue to expand beyond Sunday, Monday, and Thursday Jones cited the research the league has done as proof they are not trying to push product on people but are responding to market demand.

Cuban's arguments are all interesting, but Jones and the NFL had pretty good answers for him. That being said, only time will tell if Cuban has a point or if the NFL is going to be just fine.
