David Stern Must Be Glad Adam Silver is the Commissioner Right Now and Not Him

David Stern walked away from the NBA in February leaving his deputy--Adam Silver--in charge. After watching the mess involving Clippers owners Donald Sterling play out all day Saturday he has to be glad that he walked away when he did.

Because it is hard to see how this mess can end well.

With anyone and everyone calling for action there was no way that Silver could not comment on the issue, but what he said may not go over well with those that want blood now. In a nut shell he said there will be no punishment--for now.

As much as that may seem unjust to those upset by Sterling's alleged remarks it is Silver's duty to investigate first before saying anything or handing down any kind of punishment.
