Nothing--which is why the rumor that he may be headed to the Los Angeles Lakers soon makes sense.

Former Kentucky star and NBA player Rex Chapman sent this out prior to the start of Monday night's championship game:
Was messin' 'round on Sat nite re: Cal. But word is - win or lose 2nite - it's a #DoneDeal ...Cal 2 La-La-Land 2 coach Mamba's Lakers. #NoBS

The move makes sense. There is no way that the Lakers can seriously be thinking about keeping Mike D'Antoni after the season they've had. In fact, after what will likely end up being the worst season in Lakers history it would not be surprising to see the Lakers blow the team up and go young (plus old man Kobe) in an attempt to rebuild for the future.
Of course the Lakers claim the rumor is 100 percent false--as they should. They even go as far as to say that there have been no discussions over who should replace D'Antoni--or if they even will.
For the sake of Lakers fans everywhere--I hope they are just playing it close to the vest for now. Whether it's Calipari or someone else there is one thing that has to be done. D'Antoni must go.
