LSU Defensive Lineman Arrested for Stealing a Bike; Caught Riding it on Campus

Getting around on campus can be tough--especially a large campus like LSU. So when you see a bike not locked up you should just take it for a spin, right? Especially when you are a large defensive lineman for the football team and want to conserve your energy for practice/workouts--right?

No Frank Herron. No.

The owner of the bike reported it stolen last Wednesday. Imagine his surprise when he saw someone riding it around the academic center! Police were notified, the rider--Herron--was arrested, and the owner got his bike back.

Herron admitted to the theft in interrogation. Since the value of the bike is less than $500 it is considered a misdemeanor charge so the worst punishment will likely come from whatever Les Miles has in store:
"Certainly he's going to be run into a much leaner position," Miles told The Shreveport Times prior to an LSU function in Bossier City Monday night. "He's going to do community service. He's going to sustain whatever the school would suggest. But the truth of the matter is that we are expecting to wear him out internally.
So let the lesson be learned that if tired and in need of getting across campus--walk.
