At least that is what the internet led us to believe. That was actually not the case at all.

Thanks to social media stories like people booing Jesus can spread way too fast, and often before they are vetted. During the game it was kind of hard to do so unless you were there, but thanks to social media we have been able to find out what did go on Sunday.
All we had to do was ask Jesus (the guy dressed as Jesus; you know what I mean). Folks took to Twitter to ask the man in the robes what the story was and he was more than happy to answer.
The most common question--were you thrown out?
@BeavisImposter @megooooo I wasn't thrown out. I was escorted back to my seat. Besides, she has a boyfriend. Pete is a stand - up guy too

Did the fans really boo you?
@alexgbaguidi @OnlyInBOS I wasn't booed. They booed the ushers for making me go back to my seat. Go bruins!

Ever do it before?
@Aging_FreeAgent I had done it a few times before but it never had gone viral. Very fun!
— Thor (@svenlylethor) April 21, 2014
Gonna do it again?
@Aging_FreeAgent but I think I might make another appearance for game 5
— Thor (@svenlylethor) April 21, 2014
Sounds like the home team might want to make sure he makes future games!
@jwelch19 I've been to 3 games in my robes and each time we have won. Now I just need tickets to every game from now on.

I was curious as to why someone dressed up like Jesus in the first place. It seems that the answer was simply why not.
@FatManWriting when literally everyone tells you you look like Jesus on a daily basis, you get to thinking... and then you get an idea.
— Thor (@svenlylethor) April 22, 2014
It sounds like he acted like you would hope someone dressed up like Jesus would; very fan friendly.
@TonyBrunoShow he was awesome. took pictures with everyone who asked. very Jesus-like. lol

So there you have it folks. No one booed Jesus. They just didn't like it when the ushers told him to go back to his seat.
For the most part the reaction on Twitter appears to be positive, but there have been some that thought it was disrespectful and narcissistic for someone to dress up like this guy did--especially on Easter.
To them I pose one question--would you rather have the Son of God at the game or some crazy, insane, psychotic--dare I say demonic--looking people there instead?
