Former LSU QB Zach Mettenberger thought it sounded like a great idea too so he opted to wear his pads as well (Johnny Trendsetter?).
The day was already going to be challenge enough for Mettenberger. He had to prove to scouts in attendance that his surgically repaired knee was not going to be an issue. His ACL had been repaired just 13 weeks ago.
Overall he left a good impression on those in attendance. In all he threw about 125 balls and completed over 90 percent of them with the misses due largely to fatigue.
After 100+ throws you'd be tired too.
