Michael Sam's Boyfriend--Vito Cammisano--Has Mob Ties!

Michael Sam has been the subject of much debate since he decided to announce he is gay. When he kissed his boyfriend--Vito Cammisano--after getting drafted he was brought in to the national debate as well. Most people have been supportive of the couple, but there are a number of folks that have spoken out against them (and ESPN for broadcasting their kiss).

Well--those folks might want to be a little wary of what they say going forward. Young Vito has mob ties.

As it turns out Vito's grandfather is the late William Cammisano--better known as Willie the Rat (because he liked to leave bodies in the sewer so the rats could--well, you know)--and the former boss of the Civella crime family until he passed away in 1995.

His dad is Gerlamo Cammisano and was also in the business. In 2011 he was sentenced to 14 months for running an illegal gambling ring in Kansas City. 

This of course means absolutely nothing. There is no reason to believe that Vito has gone in to the family business or has anything to do with someone involved in it. It's just interesting trivia.

That being said, the haters may want to get over whatever their issue is with the couple if they know what's good for them. It would suck to find out the hard way that Vito is a part of the family business after all--if you know what I mean. What size cement shoes do you wear?
