Miles Austin to the Cleveland Browns?

When the Browns drafted Johnny Manziel the team had to be feeling pretty good about next season. Whether it's Johnny Football or Brian Hoyer behind center the offense stands to have a pretty good chance of looking good. That is, until news of wide receiver Josh Gordon's impending suspension broke.

Tack on Nate Burleson's broken arm and they have every reason to worry--but relief may not be that hard to obtain.

Browns GM Ray Farmer has stated that he doesn't think dominant wide receivers are imperative to winning playoff games, but the team needs to give whoever lines up at quarterback at least one reliable veteran.

Miles Austin could be that guy.

The 8-year veteran was released by the Cowboys as a salary cutting move. Injuries had hampered his production the last few seasons, but if he can stay healthy he has the ability to stretch the field a lot like Gordon.

But therein lies the problem--can he stay healthy? That question mark could work in the Browns favor if they try to go after him by using it to keep his salary demands down.

Austin has a lot of upside, but if the Browns are not interested in him Santonio Holmes would be another worth giving a look.
