He had to have spinal cord surgery due to an injury that forced him to miss most of last season. Now he’s dealing with what is called a neck burner (pinched nerve), and will not be practicing or playing at least through Sunday.
If it was just any old neck burner the team would not be having him go back to the surgeon that did his surgery Monday for an evaluation. They must fear that there is at least a chance that it could be more than that.
Or it could be that they are just being cautious.
Or it could be that they are just being cautious.
Should it be he is going to have to at least consider whether he should continue playing. Is it worth the chance that he could do some serious or even permanent damage?
The answer to that is pretty easy, but will be hard for him to say.
