PHOTO: Former Carolina Panthers Offensive Lineman Jordan Gross Has Dropped Some Serious Weight

Last season when former Green Bay Packers/Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday retired he did the unthinkable and become nearly half he man he used to be. No, not because he was a man without a purpose anymore. He simply lost some serious weight.

This season it appears that former Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Jordan Gross has undergone a similar transformation.

Last year Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Jordan Gross was one of the best in the game. In fact, at season's end he was rated the No. 3 offensive tackle in the game. He was 34 and could have easily played a few more seasons, but opted to retire instead.

Much like Saturday, six months later he looks nothing like the former man mountain that protected Cam Newton and opened holes for the running game.

Now he wouldn't play the offensive line for a flag football team and works as a reporter for a local radio and television station covering the Panthers. Does he regret it?

"You know how I know I made the right decision?” Gross said. “I haven’t thought once that I did the wrong thing. Not once."
